Genius Dish Storage & Drainage Idea for your Tiny Home Kitchen

genius-dish-drain-storage-for-tiny-homes

I think this is such a smart idea for tiny kitchens- or ALL kitchens really- but when you don’t have a dishwasher or don’t want to use one… This would just RULE. I’d love to have this in my tiny apartment where we don’t have (or even want) a dishwasher. But I can see how this would be a time saver because you don’t have to dry and move the plates around when you’re done washing. πŸ™‚

  1. Love it! Can’t wait to show this to my “ol’ man” & see if he could make me something similar! πŸ™‚ *hope I didn’t offend anyone, but I’m often referred to as his “ol’ lady”! Lol! It’s all in fun!

  2. I saw this while in Helsinki, Finland. A stainless steel counter sloped to the sink solved the pooling problem.

    1. I would agree it would be better to relocate that outlet for safety’s sake. However, it does have a GFI safety on it. That’s the little rectangle between the outlets, it’s a circuit breaker that will trip if water gets in the circuitry there, and you reset it by pressing that little rectangle once everything is dry. They are required by code in most cities for any outlet within a certain distance of a water source or drain.
