Space Saving Wall Mounted Table: The Spacebox by Calligaris

This wall mounted table called the Spacebox by Calligaris is a great space saver. It works in kitchens, studies and pretty much any other rooms too. It would even be great for business and art spaces too.

I found it to be an amazing design for the inside of a tiny house or cabin because you can use it in the living room to dine, work, study or write. So it works great in any small space like a micro apartment, too.

In most normal homes it would also work in a hallway, sitting room, den or living room. It’s great for storage, too, because of all the shelves. So when you’re done using everything it has its place and you can easily fold the table down so you can have more available and usable floor space. See it in action, and then out of action, below:

  1. This seems like the only way for a tiny house. Very nice to have a dining table in a tiny space that takes up almost no room! This will definitely be part of our design. Well done. Again. 🙂

  2. I like this better than the IKEA table. The storage space makes a lot of sense. I thought maybe when not in use the table folds up… if storing things you don’t want to look at, it would be better for the table to fold up. If storing attractive or oft-used items, the drop-down way as shown is better.

This is a great solution for people who don’t want to build their own.

  3. I like this idea and actually utilized something similar for added counter space in my normal sized home. I thought about having a table like this when I do downsize. If I did have a table that big, I would probably figure out some way to make the tabletop into a piece of artwork, either by using very interestingly grained wood for the table top, or by perhaps laminating something to the table top, painting it, etc.
