Modern Backyard Office/Work Space

Now this is the perfect headquarters by Sett Studios to work from home or study.

This seems like the perfect structure to get away and relax, study or get some focused work done.

For me it would be my favorite place to write, read and work.

This design is around 150 square feet. It’s just right.

Perfect place to study and brainstorm…

Notice the window at the bottom! Most people would never even think of doing something like this. I think it’s awesome. Yet another way to bring the nature from outside in. No need for house plants!

Would you enjoy having this little structure to getaway for studying/working? What would you add/change from the design to make it work for you?

Tiny Spanish House in Nature

House in nature

I thought you might also enjoy this beautiful little spanish cottage covered in nature. It’s in such a beautiful landscape and I absolutely love the front door. That really adds a lot of extra touch. To me, with tiny/small houses, those are the little things that make the biggest difference. If we’re going to build small, in my opinion, we may as well splurge on those little things that make us feel good everyday. Like an awesome door, a stained glass window, or anything that just makes you smile.

Tiny Log Cabins available in England

For those of us in the UK, it can be tricky to find pre-built tiny houses. It seems there are a lot of US sites that offer delivery and construction of tiny houses, and it can get pretty frustrating seeing the beautiful work available to citizens of the US of A, knowing that delivery to the UK would be an expensive (and possibly impossible) process!

Fear not, Great Britains! I have found a company based in Surrey, England. They are Creative Living Cabins at
They sell a variety of cabins and offer full delivery and installation, and they offer a bespoke cabin service.
Their wood is also harvested from sustainable forests, which is great!

I am fairly new to tiny houses and do not have the funds to start my project yet, but I am definitely going to check these out and go and visit one of their 3 display villages!

What do you think?

Backyard Tiny Cabin Retreat

Why this extremely tiny cabin is so amazing, I’m not sure!

I think it has to do with the large window that brings in the beautiful nature surrounding the structure.

That, along with the very usable outdoor space that you can hang out in throughout the day.

Or you can even have a fire at night. I don’t think most humans could live in something this tiny full time but I do think it would make for a fantastic backyard getaway or tiny vacation house for weekends.

It can also serve as a fantastic writing studio. What would you use it for? Living, working, vacationing, or something else?

Really Small House with Solar Power and a Pool

Swiming pool and bungalow

What do you think of this tiny little bungalow with solar panels on the roof? Or are they to heat the pool? I can’t tell for sure.

I know that for many of you this might be too big. But I also know that lots of you who are reading find that tiny houses are probably too impractical.

And that might be because you want to live with others or you simply need a little more space because of your hobbies/needs.

If that’s the case, I highly encourage you to consider something just a little bit larger. This might be too luxurious, but for some of you I’m sure you’ll find it just right.

Or maybe you can start tiny and over the years obtain something like this. I’d love to hear your thoughts on tiny versus small in the comments below if you’d be willing to share.

Cabin Fever

This is a cabin that was restored by John and Caroyln Malone located in Madison, Georgia.

The dwelling above is actually their getaway guest house.

Check out the rest of their property below.

The log cabin on the right is the main house and the left cabin is the kitchen which are connected by a breezeway in the middle.

The interior is a classic throwback of old school log cabins with live nature and a taste of class.

Simple but Spacious Log Cabin vs Tiny Log Cabin

The log cabin above is still simple and small. But relative to the tiny log cabin below it seems kind of huge, doesn’t it? Beautiful though. I really like it.

Log Cabin

I imagine the cabin above is only suitable for sleeping. It’s a sort of bunk house I would guess.

But there might just be enough room for a corner bed, kitchenette, storage, and maybe, just maybe.. a bathroom. But I think that might be pushing it.

So given the choice. Which cabin would you take? The larger and way more expensive log cabin. Or this simple, tiny log cabin?

I’d have to go with the larger one because otherwise I think I’d have to be by myself! How about you?
