“The house, lovingly called “The Hobo House”, is about 500 square feet. My friend Bill Kahler has been building the house in his spare time over the last few years. It’s not quite complete but it’s a great part time retreat from downtown Charleston.
It’s a two story deal and its made from about 40% reclaimed materials. Bill is an inventor and machinist, so theres lots of custom bits and thoughtful details everywhere.” (Source)
“The downstairs of the house still has a bit to go. The main kitchen and another bathroom are both down here. We have all the parts and pieces, just have to get around to getting it in.” (Source)

I like unique homes like this especially the upstairs screened in lanai area with the view. What do you like best about this little home?

Is “Hobo” an Acronym or something, like “Home Of Bill-O” or “Help Out Bill-O”? ‘Cause calling your home a “Hobo House” seems a tad ????? Unless Bill is a migratory worker or homeless vagabond, especially one who is penniless, I could think of a couple less negative words to describe my dwelling.
Like what I see so far, definitely a place a guy with a 6-pack of PBR would like to hang his hammer on weekends.
