This retractable ladder is designed for attics but I thought, why not consider it for a tiny house loft?
But since you can’t really hide it in most tiny house lofts, I don’t think it’s something most of us would do.
Unless you made your loft have an attic door and I’m not sure I’m cool with that. What are your thoughts?
The Rintal retractable stairway is available here.

Presumably you could adapt it to fit better. If the door isn’t necessary as part of it’s structural integrity you could just attach it to a loft joist. If the door helps stiffen it when deployed you could rig a nicer looking panel that attaches to a loft joist and looks cool when in the up position. I’ve seen others that have an integral handrail too.
